Science with Milk

Hello and welcome back to my blog today I got to choose my own timetable and do "whatever" i wanted in whichever order. When i was doing science i did a really cool trick with milk if you want to do it here is where i got it from Magic Milk this website also includes why it happens. Here is a picture I took of when I did it.

















When I did this i noticed that when you put the soap on the q-tip into the milk the milk spread away from it I did not expect this I thought the food colouring would go towards the q-tip. It made a really big circle around the q-tip and it started to swirl. and when you took the q-tip away it sometimes went kind of skinny. I learnt this happens because when you put in the soap it makes the fat molecules split up and the soap wants to attach to the fat molecules, this would normally be invisible to us but the food colouring helps us see what is happening.
I hope you do this experiment.

Games

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will tell you about games I like to play indoors.

So some games I like to play are Cluedo, Skip-Bo and The game of life. I recommend all of them because they are all fun and time consuming Cluedo is really fun if you have more than 2 players but 2 plsyers is still really fun. If you like uno then you will probably like Skip-Bo because they are made by the same people it takes a while to learn but once you know then its really fun and we dont have the game of life but I haved played it before it was really fun i like how you gain more people as you go.

Space

Hello and welcome back to my blog, today I'm going to tell you 5 things I would take to space and why I would take them.

The 1st thing I would pack is food so I wouldn't be hungry, I would pack breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

The 2nd thing I would take would be water so I wouldn't be thirsty.

The 3rd thing I would pack is a blanket so I wouldn't get cold.

The 4th thing I would pack would be clothes or a space suit because I would need to get changed when I'm not outside.

The 5th thing I would take would be a phone so I could take pictures or contact someone if I needed to.

Favourite Ice Cream Flavours

Hey Guys and welcome back to my blog. Today I'm going to tell you about my favourite Ice Cream flavours. I am not really supposed to eat ice cream I'm supposed to eat sorbet but I still eat ice cream.

Fun Arts And Crafts!

Hey guys welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to make this cool decoration you can hang in your room. I got this idea off the internet, I've decided to teach you how to make it.

   You will need:

• Wool
• A Stick 
• Scissors           

    Step 1:

First cut a piece of wool that is pretty long this will be the longest piece you have.

Step 2:

Now fold the bit of wool you cut off in half twice. 

Step 3: 

place the stick on top of the wool with about 1 Cm of the wool above the stick. Also make sure where you folded it is above the stick. (so there is a loop)

 Step 4:

Next pick up the loop that is above the stick and pull it over top of the stick, reach through the hole with your pointer finger and thumb and pull through the bottom of the wool, pull that tight. 

 

 

Step 5: 

Now cut the loop at the end of the wool that isn't on the stick. 

Step 6:

Next repeat steps 1 - 5 but using shorter bits of wool each time. You will need two bits of wool the same length for either side of the middle one you started with.  ( or just do the same length and then trim each one getting shorter as you go)

Step 7:

Once you have attached around 7 pieces (Or as wide as you like it) , take a long bit of wool and tie it onto both ends of the stick then you have something to hang it up with.

 

I hope you try this fun craft it is pretty simple once you understand how to make it.

Covid 19 lockdown

Hey guys hope you're all doing well in lock down, I thought I would tell you all how my life has been so far. :)

My life in lock down isn’t that fun, it's quite boring actually. Most of the time I've spent watching TV because I had a cold  for the first week. On Saturday I ordered this book that was all about art and it sounded really fun. It had colouring in pages and pages to draw on. I've played with my Lego heaps I have lots of Lego friends sets so I have been rebuilding those. My dad has to work from home and he gets like 1,000,000 phone calls per day.  My brother got this really cool Vr HeadSet, I also play on that heaps. My Mum still has to go into work because she is essential. She is a secretary for the DHB (The District Health Board).

 These are my Lego creations.

One of the nights we had pizzas for dinner. They were home made and I helped make them, We also had homemade garlic bread. My pizza was Hawaiian, my parents shared a Margherita and my brother had Meatlovers. I have to do school work at home because schools have been shut down. I'm quite lucky because I can video call my friends. We don't know when we will be allowed out to the shops again the government said 4 weeks of lock down but that might change.
