Math this week was a bit different because we got given math buddies and had to work out the problems in our book. 

My buddy was Hannah, the question was about Area and Perimeter. We had to work out the area and perimeter of the back field with the hall and with out the hall.

JE1 Writing

For this week we watched Take Me Home It was a cute film about a girl and a puppy. The chunk Mrs Earl gave me was Chunk 8. My three writing challenges were to Drench my writing in what Abbie sees, Add Passive voice and Similes  Here is my Writing:

For math this week we did geometry. Geometry is all about 2D and 3D shapes. There was 1 must do task and you had to do 1 or 2 other ones. Here is the must do task:

JE1 Writing

For JE1 this week I got chunk 8. THIS is the link to the text. My chunk time was 3:30 - 3:45, only 15 seconds it was a challenge to write 9 sentences. In this writing i had to include: Personification, Complex sentence and An Adverb. Here is a screen shot of my writing:

Hello and welcome to this weeks reading reading blog. For this week I had to use personal voice to add affect. We chose a topic to write our opinion on. The options were: Are zoos good for animals? JE1 W9 T2

Hello And Welcome to my blog, today I will be showing You what I wrote for JE1. This time JE1 was a bit different because Mrs Earl gave us a chunk instead of us choosing our chunk. THIS is the short movie we watched. I got given the time 1.27 - 2.22. Our three challenges were to write a Adverbial Phrase, A Hyphen  and a Rhetorical Question Here is my Chunk of writing: 

Chunk 1    Partly Cloudy

High in the stratosphere, there were Cloud-moulders. They created cute puppies and soft kittens for storks to pick up and take to owners. Gus was one of those Cloud-moulders but his talents were different. He created hazardous  animals. The stork that picked those animals up was Peck. Peck tried his hardest to act happy at today’s animal even though it thought Peck was a snack. He struggled to fly off with the crocodile. As Peck flew off one of his feathers landed on Gus’ nose. 

How will Peck cope with all these harmful animals?

This week for reading I had to make a DLO (Digital Learning Object) about predictions. I had to make 7 or 8 predictions from a book of my choice. I could make a copy of a Doc or make my own DLO. JE1 - Writing T2 Wk8

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Sorry I am posting this a bit late. This is my writing from last weeks JE1 writing group. I watched a VIDEO with the rest of the group and chose a chunk to write about. I had 3 challenges to finish I had to: Write a complex sentence, Write a adverb  and Alliteration. Here is my chunk of writing: 

Chunk 6    Kitbull

After the rain stopped, Kit cautiously came out of her hiding spot. She lay down on an old rubbish bin and something bright caught her eye. An old orange bottle cap. She leaped down to play with it, she tapped and tipped it between her soft, little  paws. She whacked it over to Bull’s cage near her. He didn’t budge, Kit padded over to him. Poor Bull! He was wheezing and his body was covered in raw, red scratches. Kit clambered into his crate. Bull Growled, Kit contemplated leaving and going back to her hiding spot. But she stayed and cared for him.

Lucky Dip

This week on Monday I had to do a writing work shop with Mrs Earl. I had to write a chunk of THIS link I chose chunk 5. Which is the time 1.34 - 1.53. Here is my chunk I wrote.

Chunk 5
An Orchestra of dark sounds played in the sky: wind howled, thunder boomed and  rain crashed. Umbrellas were urgently unfolded by panicked seaside visitors. Lightning flashed in the sky as Lola cheerlessly looked back at the arcade. Lola seized her moment, she returned to the arcade. Clutching  her last coin. Blatantly ignoring the “Keep Out” sign. The Stranger, who was running the arcade, hid so she wouldn’t see her. She tripped and  her last coin slipped out of her hand and rolled under the machine. The teddy Bashed against the window.

Science with Milk

Hello and welcome back to my blog today I got to choose my own timetable and do "whatever" i wanted in whichever order. When i was doing science i did a really cool trick with milk if you want to do it here is where i got it from Magic Milk this website also includes why it happens. Here is a picture I took of when I did it.

















When I did this i noticed that when you put the soap on the q-tip into the milk the milk spread away from it I did not expect this I thought the food colouring would go towards the q-tip. It made a really big circle around the q-tip and it started to swirl. and when you took the q-tip away it sometimes went kind of skinny. I learnt this happens because when you put in the soap it makes the fat molecules split up and the soap wants to attach to the fat molecules, this would normally be invisible to us but the food colouring helps us see what is happening.
I hope you do this experiment.

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will tell you about games I like to play indoors.

So some games I like to play are Cluedo, Skip-Bo and The game of life. I recommend all of them because they are all fun and time consuming Cluedo is really fun if you have more than 2 players but 2 plsyers is still really fun. If you like uno then you will probably like Skip-Bo because they are made by the same people it takes a while to learn but once you know then its really fun and we dont have the game of life but I haved played it before it was really fun i like how you gain more people as you go.
